On 21st December 2017, Department of Economics organized a seminar on “Winning strategy for developing Economies”. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Masood Khalid, Dean, School of Business and Economics, University of Brunei Darussalam was the guest speaker for the seminar.
The event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. After the National Anthem, Mrs. Kalsoom Zulfiqar formally welcomed the distinguished guest and provided a brief introduction about his research and other academic career. Prof. Dr. Ahmed was then requested to share his observations on the discussion topic, in which he elaborated the historical aspects and the current situations on to what strategy the developing countries should stick to in order to have great success. The case of Pakistan was specifically highlighted. The session went well as with such informative talk, the audiences took a lot of interest and participated with very productive questions. Prof. Dr. Abdul Salam delivered the concluding remarks and praised the guest speaker for his expert opinion and knowledge sharing and ensured such inspiring seminars to be conducted in future. Mrs. Kalsoom Zufiqar Incharge Department of Economics presented an honorary shield to the honorable guest Prof. Dr. Ahmed Masood Khalid and the session ended with all participants joining the guest over a cup of tea.
