The Vice Chancellor, University of the Punjab, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed, reiterated his stance of upgrading the infrastructure of the University during the meeting of the steering committee for the new building of the School of Economics was held at the Committee room of the Vice Chancellor office. He stated that land and finances would not be a constraint for the new building, and the building design shall reflect the new vision of the University.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed, S.I presided over the meeting which was also attended by Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood, Dean, Faculty of Econonmics and Management Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Anwar Ch., Chairman Department of Economics, Prof. Dr. Hafiz Anwaar Asghar, Director P&D, Fayyaz Sipra, Chief Engineer, along with all members of the committee. During the meeting, the consultants presented an initial proposal, to initiate the discussion on requirement specifications for the new building.
The financial and technical bids for the new building have already been finalized.
